Provides scrapbookers with a basic knowledge of digital cameras, scanners, digital retouching, and printing, as well as the skills they need to take really great photos. This book discusses how to create a simple and classic scrapbook page, scan it, and fix it up on the computer by adding copy or creating different versions of the same page.
There are currently a total of 32.1 million scrapbookers in the United States alone, with annual industry sales of $2.5 billion. This book is for the avid scrapbookers who realize the benefits of using “digital imaging” for scrapbooking, but don’t know how to get started. Author Kim Brady provides scrapbookers with a basic knowledge of digital cameras, scanners, digital retouching, and printing, as well as the skills they need to take really great photos.  In addition, the book will discuss how to create a simple and classic scrapbook page, scan it, and fix it up on the computer by adding copy or creating different versions of the same page. This hybrid how-to approach will appeal to both traditional and digital scrapbookers! The Scrapbooker’s Guide to Digital Photography will also explain how readers can use digital files to share their scrapbooking with others, publish them on the Internet, create hard-bound books, and more.

Kim Brady is a 25-year veteran of the photo industry. Kim was editor-in-chief of the first ever digital photography magazine, Photo>Electronic Imaging. She was also editor-in-chief of Professional Photographer magazine and executive editor of www.imaging-resource.com. Kim has been a contributor to more than a dozen photo-related publications and Web sites around the world. In addition to her writing and editing, she worked as a graphic artist and as a design teacher at the Winona School of Professional Photography. Today Kim works as a freelance writer covering both the photography and scrapbooking industries. Her portfolio can be viewed on her Web site at www.bastet.com.
