James K.M. Cheng established his firm in 1978 upon winning the competition for the Chinese Cultural Center in Vancourver, Canada. His architectural credentials were earned after studying under Richard Meier at Harvard, and following his apprenticeship with Arthur Erickson.
James K.M. Cheng's work has received numerous design awards, including Canada's Governor General's Medal in Architecture.
